ABOUT ME
Sometimes the walls around us feel like they are collapsing. The pressure from unmet expectations, relationships, career challenges, parenting struggles, school, loss or feelings of hopelessness can drive us to high levels of stress which may result in underlying symptoms of anxiety, depression or a deep feeling of agitation.
My name is Elaine Pike, and I am an associate marriage and family therapist and clinical counselor, establishing a solid trusting relationship with my clients that includes a safe space with confidentiality, respect, validation, support, and encouragement. In my practice, I work with children, adolescents, college-age young adults, and mature adults.
I have vast knowledge and success working with neurodivergent adults and teens/children with autism, and ADHD struggling with social, relational, and behavioral challenges improving their overall well-being. I have 18 years of experience as a credentialed special educator and have worked with a diverse population of children supporting their emotional needs.
I am collaborative and strategic in therapy implementing an integrated approach using cognitive-based therapy, psychodynamic theory, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), supporting individuals in targeting negative behavioral or thinking patterns, healing attachment disorders, working through the challenges of obsessive-compulsive disorder, implementing coping strategies and improving one’s overall mental health and well-being.
I look forward to speaking with you to begin the journey toward better health.
